Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing attack against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any impact is unclear and the US has yet to issue a statement.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - reported they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

Wider Impacts

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with notable success and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.

Officials reported wreckage fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
