Former Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
