AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.
The adventure focuses on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Unique arms
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Addition
This update also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive skills: Naoe reveals a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
